I spent 3 nights at this hotel and I have mixed feelings. On the positive side, the beds are to die for, the rooms lovely to look at and the reception area is very dramatic. Conversely, I can not think of a time that I would want to spend £25 (euro the same as the pound at the time of writing) on breakfast, £5 for a cup of tea or soft drink. So dining in not an option. Our room was stuck at 23˚ which was no fun for our toddler who had a temperature of 39.1 and although we 'complained' every night it was not until night 3 that we were moved to another (smaller) room that measured 1 degree less! Additionally I was not chuffed that a lack of door staff meant that the lift at pavement level was unusable and I had to lug a push chair up an escalator to the 1st floor (reception area). This is not an ideal situation for a disabled traveller or parents with a small child. The hotel is in a great location but if I go to Brussels again I would prefer to be around the Grand Place area as......
