On arrival, there were about 4-5 couples ahead of us and two people on reception..... which was fine, but they were really really slow. i would have hated to see them when they are really really busy! when we finally did get to check in, i realised why they were so slow. in the middle of each persons check in, they kept answering the phone 3-5 times in the middle of conversations with you. i dont understand when they are busy why they cant have one to manage the phones and other staff to look after customers at the desk. They were however helpful in any questions i had and i was impressed with the their language skills as i heard them talking in at least 3 different languages!
Room was pleasant- quite big which was great. it was spotlessley clean. the only bad thing i could say is the noise of trains at night...but what can you expect when you are staying right across from one of the busiest train stations in Europe!
Another thing that bothered me was at breakfast- none of the drinks machines were filled up when emptied..... once they were gone they were gone, which is not good for a breakfast that costs 12 euro each! but all in all, the hotel and food were lovely and i can happily say that we will be returning to brussels again and most likely will be staying at this hotel.

Top Local Tips for Brussels
Don't you know how to cross the road??? :o) I've watched a lot of people (particularly British!) standing at the side of the road at pedestrian crossings in Brussels, waiting for the traffic to stop. It's not gonna happen, people! If there are lights, cross on the green man and ignore traffic coming your way: they have to stop for you. Equally, if there are no lights to guide you, wait for a pause in the traffic (long enough for you to step off the kerb, otherwise you'll be there forever!) and stride confidently into the road. Again, at pedestrian crossings, they have to stop for you. They do, too; it's not like the UK where using a zebra crossing involves taking your life in your hands!
very complicated Don't ask locals "how to get..." - you'd never get right answer.

One thing spoiled stay a little - big construction work right near the hotel, that create loud noise.
And be careful - area around hotel is not unsecured.
