Excellent breakfast, comfortable room and friendly staff

It was our first time in Bruges and the staff made us feel very welcome. We were allowed to check in at 9:30am, as our room was unoccupied, and enjoy an extra breakfast at Eur10 each (well worth it). Our room was a standard double, but it was warm, comfortable but just needed a little TLC. Other than that minor observation, we would definitely recommend it. Oh, just Eur7 from the station by taxi. We checked out of our room at 11.00am, but our luggage was locked away for us so we could enjoy the rest of the day in Bruges before leaving at 4:30pm.

Top Local Tips for Bruges

De Garre Pub Not far off the main square the is a small quaint character pub used mainly by the locals. Well worth a visit

Zwart Huis and Hanfbogenhoff Both great restaurants for dinner. Zwart Huis is close to the main marketsquare. It has great typical belgian food. Down to earth, great atmosphere. The Hanfbogenhoff is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the find. Food is also excellent; the restaurant a little 'finer'. Both are in the 25 Euro pp range.

Bruges days Take an umbrella! You enver know when you are going to get a little shower of rain. Bruges is beautiful city which can easily be explored on foot. The Belfry tower is well worth the 366 steps to the top, and a canal boat ride is a must. It very reasonably priced and you can get them then all over town. I would also recommend the Park restaurant for dinner, by the park, the food was outstanding.
