Top Local Tips for Bruges

The best dinner in Brugge Visit the Hotel Gran Kaffee De Passage on Dweerstraat without fail. Honestly priced drinks and a fantastic menu with fresh produce and traditional fayre as well as standard steaks, ribs, soups etc at approximately half the price of most other eateries in the city. Without doubt the best waffle we sampled, and we sampled a few!! The staff were also very friendly and keen to adivse on local dishes and beers without just trying to sell the most expensive collection. If returning to Brugge, we will both stay and eat here.

Bike trip around the countryside of west Flanders I booked a bike trip in August with quasimundo (http://www.quasimundo.com/html/main.html), The tour guide was fantastic, I have not rode a bike since I was 10 and requested a small bike to accomodate my need as I am very short and does not like not have my feet touch the ground! The tour guide was very helpful and had bikes in all sort of sizes - I setted with a teenager's bike. Bike trip into the Flanders countryside was breath takingly beautiful, we rode along the river which stretched for miles. This is a must especially if you go during spring and summer or Autumn! This bike tour lasted for 4hrs approx and it is about 25km (15 miles approx) we get to stop for drinks in the local pub and landmarks for photo oppportunities.
