Top Local Tips for Bruges

Choose a sunny day! Brugge is a fine city and we've enjoyed trips there twice within a year, but we were lucky with the weather both times. I think if it was rain and wind you probably would not stop here too long, unless you like chocolate shops! Its a very slick operation, well geared to many tourists constanly asking the strangest of questions, but the Belgian people are very welcoming and friendly. If possible it would be nice to try it on a mid week break as I feel it would not be quite so crowded. Its also very pleasant to stroll around on an evening after the hordes have gone and to enjoy the space!

Rain.... It can rain at any time in Brugge, take a brolly.
