Brilliant fountain Don't miss the fantastic fountain in the 'T Zand square. The mermaid with water spouting out her nips is super!
Use-It Guide Pick up the Use-It Guide for Bruges from the Tourist Information office. It is written and designed for young travellers but being in our fifties we found it excellent for telling us about places and destinations that we would have missed. It does list some good value places to eat too.

The Leopold is everything a family run hotel should be. The rooms are clean, and the apartment we had was very pleasant, comfortable, cosy and well equipped. Breakfast in the Leopold is a similarly pleasing experience with fresh bread at every table and a good range of other food available, including an egg boiling machine.
If you like room service, mini bars, power showers, wall to wall marble and little arrows folded into the end of your loo paper, the Leopold is not for you. If (like us) you appreciate a family hotel that exudes warmth and hospitality, whilst at the same time respecting your privacy, you will be delighted with the Hotel Leopold.
