See the sights We would thoroughly recommend taking a tour. We took one with Quasomodo Tours (www.quasimodo.be)..the Triple Treat...absolutely fantastic.Collected from hotel and taken off the beaten track to experience a piece of culture normally unseen by tourists...highly recommended and good value for money..Phillipe is a star! Go and you won't be disappointed!

Arriving in Brugge by train If you arrive in Brugge by train, it's about 2km to the old town area. If you are super fit and are possibly backpacking it around europe, feel free to walk to your hotel. Otherwise, just grab a cab. We didnt get driven around for an extra cab charge, they took us straight to our hotel and it was much easier with all our luggage. Enjoy brugge! It's awesome.

Best way to get wonderful pictures Go to the Belfry (aka Belfort). For a small price you can climb the 366 steps to the top. Although it is a daunting rise and descent on the stairs (they spiral to the top), the views from the top are amazing. You can see the entire city and beyond from the top. For more excellent photo opportunities, take a canal boat ride through the city of Brugge. The canals boats leave from a dock close to the Belfry. It is affordable yet an enjoyable and memorable ride.
