Top Local Tips for Bruges

Costs of Taxis we arrived on a Sunday and were charged 13Euros from the Railway Station to the Hotel and booked a Taxi via the Hotel to return to the Railway station on the Friday and were charged 8euros - so be aware!!

Best restaurants in Bruges For excellent food in mnore r3elaxed surroundings - De Peepermolen on Langestraat. For fine dining at a bargain price The Park, next to the park on Minderbroedersstraat.

Brugge tourist trail.... Brugge is clearly a very popular tourist destination. From my experience the things to avoid are eating at restaurants around the market place, which are a little pricey. Chocolate is also obviously very popular here, and are sold in boxes up to 1kg. At Brussels station I saw 1kg of loose chocolates being sold for €45, which is clearly a rip-off. In Brugge the cheapest 1kg I saw was €10, but anything between €10 and €15 is probably ok.
