The Scandic in Brugge is an ideal 4 star for all kinds of travellers, we travelled with young children and found the hotel accomodating as well as welcoming. The staff were excellent, very attentive and approachable. The hotel is modern with a warm and inviting atmosphere. It may not be central to the town however the taxi service provided for a small fee was very good. Highly recommended, would have rated higher if there was a pool.

Lack of cash machines There are very few cash machines in Bruges that will take foreign cards. The one in the post office foyer in the Markt Square is probably handiest, but you'll be hard pushed to find any others.

Deliecious Flemish Beef Friendly service and delicious flemish beef at a spot called Pietje Pek sint-jacobstraat 13-8000 Brugge - they also do fondue! And are very family friendly
