This hotel is tops for a city break as I have taken quite a few. The KK hotel is a fab chain and they make your stay very memorable as they will try to please on all requests. I stayed in the Vienna KK Maria Thersia and it was a excellant room 6th floor, 624 overlooking the museum quater which is a great view. Breakfast is very well presented with a great range to choose from. You would need to be very fussy not to be impressed. Overall cannot find fault with anything in this beautiful hotel.

Good service and wonderful rooms at a surprisingly affordable price (at least for my stay). Easy walk to city centre. Wellness centre is fine; if it had a pool this hotel is a 10.

Clean hotel, nice, large rooms and good buffet breakfast. Very well located for Spittelberg markets and not far from metro. Walking distance from all attractions in central Vienna.

Excellent value for the money. Friendly, helpful, supportive and patient staff. Rooms were neat, clean very adequqte but smallish by US standards.Very complete and well appointed breakfast. Convenient to shopping and tourist venues. Our group of six were welcomed and treated very well. Would stay there again without question.

OK, but not worth the money

from davidlsharpe
Stayed here for 2 nights in mid-June 2005. Hotel proximity to city center is great. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is GREAT! Our room was a bit of a disappointment. Ceiling was bowed in and cracked, bathroom was small. Shower was inadequate.

Really Enjoyed this Hotel

This is a really lovely hotel, just about 3 minutes walk from the Museum Quarter. Room were beautiful, with lovely marble bathrooms and your own balcony. There are a number of very nice restaurants (spanish, italian & indian) and bars nearby. Breakfasts were very nice, full hot & cold buffet. The hotel is in an excellent location and I would recommend it to anyone, both business and leisure. However it probably suits business a little more as the bar lacks a little bit of atmosphere, but if you're not going to be drinking in the hotel much, it's an excellent all round choice for anyone.

Clean spacious rooms, friendly staff and reasonably priced. No Viennese charm in the decor, although the heated bathroom floor makes up for it! Only a few minutes walk from the underground and the Museum Quarter. Also only a few stops from the CAT airport train.

One downside is that there is no restaurant. A bistro/bar in the lobby does hot snacks until 10pm - but there are restaurants nearby. The breakfast buffet is quite good. We travelled with our 6 month old baby and they provided a travel cot in the room. There is no baby listening service though.

Overall, great for a business trip or short break.

Excellent Hotel

Having just returned from a 4 night visit to Vienna and to this hotel over the Valentine day period, I can only recommend the hotel to anyone planning a stay in this city. Excellent accommodation and breakfasts, walkable to most of the major buildings and attractions and convenient to the local trams and underground network which we found easy to understand and use. Plenty of restaurants in the immediate vicinity to suit all tastes and budgets.
Very helpful staff in reception.
I would return without any second thought.

Great Hotel

from GingerGill
I have just spent 3 nights at the K+K and was very impressed. The hotel was lovely and warm, the room clean and comfortable and all the staff very welcoming.

The breakfast buffet was excellent and included both hot and cold dishes.

The location is in a quiet side street and we were able to walk everywhere easily and the No 49 tram stopped just up the main road.

great breakfasts, central location

My wife and I stayed in the Maria theresa 21 November 2004 for 4 nights. I selected the hotel on the basis of its location and its generally favourable Trip Advisor reviews and was not disappointed. Our room on the sixth floor was clean and comfortable with a heated bathroom floor! The view from our window was superb - we could see St Stephen's Cathedral, Rathaus, Parliament Buildings and lots of the other fabulous buildings of Vienna. The breakfasts were excellent with a plentiful supply of Cava for the morning Bucks Fizz. We found the reception staff friendly and helpful but the lobby bar quite expensive. Only untowards incident during our stay was went the full length mirror outside the bathroom suddenly fell of the wall when we were preparing to go out one night - the problem was dealt with typical tuetonic efficiency. We found an excellent little Italian resturant about three streets away (up the Burggasse) where the ownder is prepared to cook anything that you want (within reason) and let us try his latest dessert creation not yet on the menu (still warm from baking). Don't miss dinner in the RatHausKeller (resturant in the basment of the Town hall) where the Wiener Schnitzel and Pinot Blanc is to die for - while listening to a wonderful lady playing the harp! Within comforatble walking distance of the Acadamy of Fine Arts, the Opera House, the Hapsburgs palace and just next door mariaHilfer Strasse and the hideous Museum Quarter. I love to stay here again.

Great find!

from A TripAdvisor Member
An internet buddy from Greece told me about the place and boy am I glad I listened! This was a delightful little boutique hotel in the Spittelberg district. Breakfast was pretty good, beds were comfortable and the decor lovely.

Still, what I think I liked best was staying in an area that isn't thought of as touristy. We met an American ex-patriot and his rottweiler puppy over a launched piece off a meter weiner at a local sidewalk cafe. When we bumped into him the next night and asked for dinner recommendations, we wound up spending a very memorable evening with him and his Austrian-born wife at the restaurant of one of his partners. We found out he was opening a Cajun Deli in Spittelberg, so I'd recommend checking it out, not only to get a dose of home but to get the inside skinny for what else is good in Vienna.

Clean and efficient

from ASG
Having read some of the previous reviews, we decided to book in here for a weekend in September. The room was clean and well maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful. The situation is good; close to the centre and the main shopping street. The breakfast (included) was above average. If you are looking for some Viennese character, it's not the place to go. For that I would recommend the Konig von Ungarn where some friends stayed, but this hotel was good value for money overall, and no nasty surprises.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in August. What a find! In a quiet, centrally located area walking distance to almost everything. Very clean hotel with helpful staff plus their business center has FREE internet! I would stay here in a heartbeat on any return trip to Vienna.

Top Local Tips for Vienna

Airport Driver For a very reliable transfer to and from Vienna airport do consider Airport Driver. Making on-line arrangements in advance was easy and email replies prompt. They charged 28 Euros for a one way trip which given the service they supply represented excellent value for money. Both the drivers we had were very smartly dressed and spoke excellent English. Comfortable new cars were used and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended http://www.airportdriver.at/

Kulinarium 7 Restaurant Great restaurant http://kulinarium7.at/

3 Day Vienna Card Check if your deal includes the 3 day Vienna Card from the hotel - we bought ours at the airport station only to be presented with "free" ones at the hotel when we booked in.
