Although this hotel does provide a good 'Viennese' atmosphere, it lacks a good internet infrastructure, common to other hotels nowadays.



The WLAN is expensive and only available in the hall.



Apart from that, definitely a good choice if you want to spend a few days thinking you are in one of Princess Sissi's movies!

Top Local Tips for Vienna

Beats Train Hopping in Australia Take the CAT (City Airport Train) from Vienna Airport to the city. Fast and convenient and a little more expensive than regular public transport. But its likely you'll then have to pay for a cab to your hotel for convenience although you can take the metro (U bahn) as well. Vienna airport is an uncomfortable jumble and the new security regulations timeconsuming - so leave time to clear security. By the way if your changing planes in Europe be aware of the new EEC rules regarding liquids in cabin baggage. We arrived from Australia with toiletries/cosmetics/medicine in cabin baggage, went directly to a business lounge to wait for the next flight, went to the gate when called and had to throw things away as they were 10ml oversize and there was no way to check them into baggage checked through to Innsbruck from Australia. Can be expensive if you have aftershave/parfum/cosmetics. To add insult you could then buy smaller versions of toiletries/cosmetics but not medicine after security.

haus der musik museum If you love anything about music visit this museum. It will suit adults and children alike - you can learn all about the great composers and also compose your own waltz and conduct the Viennese symphony orchestra. Very hands-on, we loved it!

Bus Get the airport bus into the city, great value. Leaves you right in the centre
