Hot, small, noisy and expensive

My room - for which I paid a mint for one night (I don't know whether I was ripped off for booking through the Internet) - was rather small and the bed was tiny. The weather was stifling and there was no relief from the heat (in the high 90s Fahrenheit). When I opened the window to try to cool down the room, there was a lot of noise from the street (my room was on a low floor). Perhaps under other circumstances Hotel Kummer is charming, but that is not the impression it made on me.

Top Local Tips for Vienna

Shronbrun Palace (not sure if spelled correctly) This is a beautiful tourist attraction. The gardens are huge and beutiful and there is a very romantic glorieta at the far end. All in all, Vienna is a very romantic place to visit. That is why I went there on my honeymoon.

ALWAYS ASK FOR STILL WATER! Coming from a country where you automatically are served still water unless you specify sparkling we kept ordering water and being given sparkling as that is the norm in Vienna so SPECIFY STILL!!!!
