Nice, little & cheap
I stayed in Franzenshof in June 2007 for 3 nights with 3 friend. We were in double bedded room on 5th floor (the highest). The hotel has an elevator. We were in 2 seperated bedrooms in one apartment. In 2nd bedroom you must go thru 1st bedroom. Every bedroom has TV (small screen, 37cm) with cabel TV (20 or so programs). Beds are new and comfterble to sleep in. Bathroom with toilet is small but also nice. There are lots of big mirrors in bathroom and in other rooms, lots of closets and space for other stuff. We had breakfast 7-10, it was good. There is one PC with ink-jet printer for prepaid use. Near hotel is street car station, and one Ubahn station so you dont have any problem to travel to any part of Wien. The neighboroughood is ok, very quiet and safe. 3 nights with breakfast and car parking was 135 Euro per person, 540 Euro total, what I think is quite cheap.
I recomend the hotel. The next time I'll stay in Wien, I'll chose Hotel Franzenhof again.

Stay AWAY!!!
This hotel is a total dump. I was offered a tiny room with two very narrow beds. The bathroom was forced in to that room and you could smell it everywhere. When I asked for a different room I was treated rudely and after an unpleasant discussion asked to leave... Location not great, staff rude, horrible service... Pick a different hotel closer to the city center.
