Poor service, rude front desk staff

When making the reservation for my parents, the male reservationist was most charming, helpful and a total delight. Obviously my expectation of viennese charm upon arrival was the same. We were seriously disappointed. The hotel is conveniently located, clean, and otherwise uneventful. However, beginning with the front desk clerk who seemed to be at this post 24 hrs. a day there was no welcome. He would find fault with outside callers needing to be connected to a guest's room, how the door bell was rung upon entering the building, request for assistance with using the wireless connection (the existing guest available PC is in its death throws and hence is unusable). His German is barely understandable. The rudeness dampened our vacation experience. For these reason I do not recommend this hotel and will not stay there again.
