Jews Beware, you are in Anti-Semitic Austria Any Jews reading this, if you plan to visit Austria, especially Serfaus, you are in anti-semitic territory. This is the land which once gave us Hitler, and now has become renewed in their distaste for Jews. They do so not because they have good reason, but because its always easy to have a scapegoat. Romans, Russians, Spaniards, Muslims, Germans, Latvians, all have discriminated against Jews in the past. Now, a new wave of hate begins once again from Muslims, French, and Austrians. Do not visit Austria, but if you must, be cautious and expect nothing in a way of a friendly face or hand. They will take your money, but will not want you there.

Hotel Barbara is best place to stay We think Hotel Barbara gives you the most for your money of any hotel in Serfaus. The staff are wonderful, the food plentiful and delicious, and the location is perfect. We met a couple this year that we recognized from last year and we learned that they have been coming to Serfaus since the 1970s. They have tried other hotels, but have decided to always use Hotel Barbara. They are German and visit 15 weeks a year.
