1)Transfer was less than an hour from Salzburg airport
2)We arrived about 5pm local time. The rooms we had chosen were the family apartments. These were large and clean. My wife saw some of the other rooms during our stay and as we only have 1 child we could have happily stayed in one of the smaller rooms.
3)After we were settled the owner offered to drive us 1/2 km up the mountain to the ski-rental place ( Ski-Lens ) who managed to sort all 7 of us out( including 3 tired children )in 13 minutes flat.I've never had that service before and it did make a huge difference.
4)Ski-ing. The nursery slope and ski-school are next to the hotel, so even the most inexperienced of the group(me!) could ski-in and ski-out. I must recomend the Hopl ski-school who took my son (aged 8 ) from complete novice to Franz Klammer in 6 days!
5) The food at the hotel was faultless. I was unprepared for gastronomic feast we ate every night. Always at least 4 courses. If you ever get chance to taste their steamed lamb-take it.
6)Facilities are fantastic. Ther are 2 pools; 1 outside-lovely for a dip before dinner( the children thought this was magical-swimming under stars and daring each other to lie in the snow before jumping back in. The Wellness centre with its variety of steam rooms, saunas and massage facilities and gym etc was beautiful. For the children they have different playrooms and also a dvd room ( so take your own ) great if mum and dad need to retire to the bar.
7)People are alot more freindly here then in any other skiing country. It is worthwhile knowing a smattering of German as a little goes along way, but unlike other european destinations, language really didn't seem to be a barrier.
If you are a hardcore black-run only skier this is probably not the resort for you. I would highly recomend the resort for families, beginners and intemediates. If you are more experienced ther is certainly enough skiing on the combination of the 4 mountains. I would also recomend this hotel specifically for its outstanding service and facilities along with ita ability to have given us the best family holiday in years.
