Well above average hotel.
Food..5 course evening meal...breakfast ? it is your fault if you leave hungery !!!
You feel at home in lovely warm clean rooms
Great views of the Muttereralm. A good selection of indoor games / books if you want to stay in and the family are on call at all times.
Easy access to innsbruck and Fulpmes bt tram just yards from the door.
Have visited in summer and winter.

No Respect!

We booked the room 6 weeks before and the morning we arrived the owner told us (without any advice) that she gave our room to other custemers and that she had booked a room for us in a pension at 200 metres from there. Just because we were young and the other cupple were old custemers! Too bad! No respect for us!

We have stayed here with Elisabeth and her family 3 times. We have taken summer and winter holidays here. The hotel,service and food are all great.

You have the tram on your doorstep to INNSBRUCK and FULPMES cheap and often. The new Mutteralm cable car is also walking distance We shall be in Mutters for New Year 2007.The New Year in the alps is a super time. Each village has its fireworks which can be seen and heard around the mountains/ Oh Do not forget the 4 hills at the Bergels ski jump 4th Jan

Top Local Tips for Mutters

All year round holiday In winter great for sking for the not so skilled, great toboggan runs ice rink etc. In January go to the ski jumping . In spring the meadows are full of flowers open air pool in summer

20 min by train from Innsbruck The town, Mutters, deserves its title of the most beautiful village in Tirol. It is a quiet village in a farming community, with a great balance of tourism and the village life of the residents. The village is higher up in the valley, slightly hilly streets, lots and lots of flowers in the well kept yards and hanging on all the chalet style Tyrolean buildings. A car can be used it to explore the surrounding villages.. It was easy to find the town and hotel by car. Several times we took the electric train into Insbruck, about a 20 min. ride. There are two train stops in Mutters (surprising for a small village). The stop in the center is called Mutters, the second stop is Nockhofweg/Mutteralm. Nockhofweg is the train scheule & announcement listing and is the street for the mountain cable car.

Skiing Mutters is a relatively small - even though it has a big vertical drop. Beginners will love the slope with the pomma just where the gondola exits. they can ski on the toe and return to the village via the goldola. Axamer Lizum (get there using the free bus and ski back to Mutters via the marked traverse) is a true big mountain resort. Mindblowing terrain. Mutters is a perfect base to ski Axamer because the traverse only runs one way - from Axamer to Mutters. That means you ski back down - ending about 300m from the Sportshotel at the base of the Mutters goldola.
