Top Local Tips for Innsbruck

Longest day in Tirol I spent the longest day in Innsbruck which is part of Tirol in the city centre visiting museums, shops and also got onto the cable car to go up on the mountain where I met Austrians there on the mountain who camped there for the night to see the fireworks and take photos enjoying the longest day. I really enjoyed it! Luckily that day was sunny, as in previous days it was raining for most of the hours then when sun came out it came out allright as sun was scorching out hot rays! I took many photos to remember what a lovely holiday I had and to show to my friends to visit Innsbruck and stay at SCHWARZER ADLER hotel! Will travel to Innsbruck again and again for sure!

Swarovski Skip the museum / factory. Simply wierd art and total tourist trap! Not worth the ride out there - you will get stuck. Buses only run every two hours and you can't possibly consume more than 1hr there.

Innsbruck Card Get the Innsbruck Card! It costs 25 euros for a card that is good for a full 24 hours. The gondola ride alone costs 24.50 euros, so it is definitely a good deal because you only need to do one more thing to have paid for the card. We bought ours at the hotel and the cool thing is that the 24 hours doesn't get activated until your first use of the card, so you can buy it when you check in and it doesn't start "counting against you" until you first use it, then it is good until that same time the next day. Considering that all public transit (including the fun tourist bus and the gondola) and every attraction in Innsbruck (including the Imperial palace, the ski jump, the bell foundry, etc.) are all included, you can easily get your money's worth. I think we ended up doing enough on our 24 hour card that would have cost us 47 euros if we had paid for everything separately!
