Best Skiing Hotel in Europe

The Hotel Persal, which we have visited and stayed in during the past 3 years (4 visits) is the best we have experienced in Europe and probably in the US. The Zillertal skiing is as good as it gets even after 69 years of skiing with wonderful ski runs, snow conditions and weather (only 1 foggy day in 4 ski trips there). The Hotel Persal is nothing less than spectacular because of its ambience, rooms, food and the friendliness of the Fankhauser family especially Ushi, who greats you and makes all the arrangements. With Breakfast and Dinner, the prices are reasonable as well. We are not sure why they upgraded their facilities during the Summer of 2008 since we thought they were terrific in both March 2008 and even December 2007. There is no need for a car since the bus comes to get us to Zillertal skiing mornings and returns us in the afternoon. Mayerhofen just 20 minutes drive from the Hotel Persal has wonderful restaurants and gift shops, and the Bakery (not sure of its name) has exceptional pastry. Lori (male) and Lyn have found that the Zillertals and the Hotel Persal have added a new dimension to our skiing and vacation pleasure.
