The perfect alpine get-away Great walking and biking in summer, Bad Kleinkirchheim is a sophisticated alpine spa resort. Carinthia is Austria's sunniest province but temperatures are always a couple of degrees cooler than in the lower vallies. That said, temperatures when we were there were in the high twenties celsius (>80F). In Winter "BKK" as it's known is a great ski resort, however Carinthia is never as snow-sure as other more well known provinces of Austria such as Tyrol or Salzburg. If it's a bumper winter then it's recommended; if snow is an issue and you have the option of going elsewhere then it shouldn't be your first choice.
