Be very aware
After deciding to take a weekend break to Torquay, we booked the Corbyn head Hotel. On arrival all looked well. The staff are very friendly and food good, but the hotel is appalling for relaxing. The rooms are very small, and this is the noisiest hotel we have stayed in and I have stayed in plenty. The floorboards creek and groan everytime someone walks along the dated and gloomy corridors. The walls are paper thin so don't expect privacy, you can hear people across the corridor and about three or four rooms down the corridor.Very poor stay so you have been warned.

Better than expected
Not a very expensive hotel, which is what was attractive as we were 2 students seeking a short break, so needed cheap. I had read some of the previous reviews and was a bit worried. The location was great, very central, and accessible via public transport, air link just around the corner! Everything was clean and tidy, standard b+b bedrooms, everything expected from a hotel included, only issues were the bathroom door didn't have a lock, or shut fully. Staff, especially waitresses were delightful. The breakfast was amazing, with many cooked breakfasts to choose from including a vegi choice, and cereal/bread also included. Very cheap price, very pleasant stay.
