Fuentes Georginas It is really worthwhile to take a visit to the Fuentes Georginas whilst in Quetzaltenango. Remember to bring a towel, but if you forget the restaurant will rent you one for 10Q. They say the water is hot enough to cook an egg.. its really hot!!

Be sure to visit the Friday market at San Francisco de Alto! I used the Attractions category instead of Shopping because this market is a lot more than just a shopping experience. There are very few tourists there (we only saw one other couple), and it is the largest Mayan market in Guatemala. You really see what people use and how they live here. Be sure to go up on the hill to see the animal markets. They're wild. And it's there you can have your fortune told by small birds.

Don't bother with the Hot Springs Difficult to access, not much there. Unless you want to go for medicinal purposes, definitely not worth the trip.
