After calling the front desk about 8-10 times and not getting answer to have a manager come look at it we once again marched down to the front desk to find only one staff memeber there on the internet talking to somebody on the phone and completely ignoring us to finish whatever he was doing. After waiting 5 min to get off the phone and telling him what happened he tells us that the manager is sleeping at his apartment and no manager is at the hotel. God forbid a important decision or something terrible happened there was no decision maker on site. Eventually we got ahold of the manager at his home where he first expected us to sleep in the room one more night. We couldn't believe his respone. Eventually they upgraded us to a suite but we told them we did not want to pay for that nights stay. Nothing was taken off the bill, not even a free dinner or anything. Again we were shocked. So at 11pm we decide after helping their staff move our luggage that we needed to shower and try to relax. The so called juccuzi shower barely worked the water dripped out of hte shower head and would go from scolding hot to freezing cold. It was like doing the hoeky pockey trying to clean ourselves. We gave up on trying to complain b/c it was quite obvious these people didn't know how to run a hotel so the best I could do is to spread the word that if something goes wrong with your stay these people aren't going to really help you out. We spoke to others and visited a few other hotels. They seemed just as nice and from what we understand even cheaper. I believe Secomono was one of these. Hope this helps with your planning.
