Where to eat in San Ignacio I would recommend places to eat in San Ignacio: for authentic Belizean food that is tasty and reasonably priced then visit Annie's in front of the market (the market is currently being rebuilt via the EU and GOB altho doesn't affect her biz it seems) she's not open Mondays but does breakfast and lunch other days. (5-6 BZ dollars for a plate of rice and beans and chicken - homemade drinks are ususally $2.00 per serving. Great value and tasty food.Also try Martha's in town - again great food and service - catering more for tourists but good to see all kinds of Belizeans eating there. Another place: Hanna's (owned by Peter from Southern Africa) - he uses organic meat which he grows himself - usually full and good service. To save money i would try calling the hotel directly next time to see if I can get a better deal.
