Car Hire We used a company called EconoCars (T. 001 868 660 8728) and it cost us £150 to hire a new medium sized, clean, air-conditioned car for 8 days. We just called the company once we collected our luggage at the airport and they collected us from outside, took us to their office and gave us the car with maps, books, etc. When we returned the car to the office, they dropped us off at the airport to catch our flight home. A delightful experience. Camille was a joy to deal with and they are based just across from the airport - 1 minute away.

good value Don't be afraid to use the taxis on Tobago. While hard to recognize at first and may include, a few "gypsy units" they are safe, and cheap. Use for travel on the Atlantic side of the island as the fares are regulated and the routes direct and quick. A few TT's will get you up and down the coast. If unsure establsih your destination and price before you get in.
