SAM's PLACE.....FIND ANOTHER PLACE Arrived in POS without reservation and found Sam's Place a guest house in the Woodbrook area.I was quoted USD 70 for a double. Each morning I was greeted with a changed or new rule. Pay all 9 nites in advance which suprised us ( and no refunds given). we agreed to pay daily. By the way the rate went somehow to USD 77. Then on day 2 we were advised that there was no maid service/ no making of beds or emptying of garbage.and sheets were changed every 3 days. On day 3 the owner POLLY refused to write a receipt daily for the USD 77. Instead she initialed her calendar! We began to feel uncomfortable. That evening we were told by POLLY that she had rented our room from "tomorrow". Trinidadians are known for their hospitality. We are 70 and 75 yrs young, retire early and are quiet.......so it wasn't our rowdy behavior. POLLY is just not a nice person. FIND ANOTHER PLACE!
