Spend a total of 12 days here at the Golden Thistle, celebrated both Christmas and New Year there and it was the time of my life. Very up close and personal staff, very helpful and everything with a smile. Hotel is a small and cosy place, rooms very clean and modern. Pool was nice and quiet, no unwanted noise and most important clean. Location is also a big++ for this place, everything is within walking distance, airport, shops, bars, beach and restaurants. Could not be happier with my choice of hotel in Tobago, and will definitely go back there sometime soon!

The night before arriving in Tobago, I called the hotel to ask a couple of questions. I thought that was the time to tell me that there was a power outage scheduled for the following day. When we got there, out rooms were not ready and we couldn't even use the toilet because there was not power to operate the water pumps. The manager was unconcerned and unwilling to give us any type of compensation. For a business based on 'your customer' we were greated as if we were an inconvenience to them at the time. They had a schedule and information on thier cleaning posted in the room. Well, the beds did get made, but for the 4 days we were there, they never changed the sheets. Their "fully equipped kitchenette" was only half equipped to say the least. Tobago was wonderful, but maybe find somewhere else to stay.
