first time there i was going to rent a car; however, i was really, really glad i didn't. if you don't know the island, the streets are extremely narrow, and you can easily get stuck in traffic when tourists are in town. at night, it was frightening, the cliff roads that connect to each area are beautiful to look at during the day, but are pitch black at night and steep! Parking is difficult and i can imagine it's easy to get lost even though there's mainly only one road from town to town. haha. Grab a Cab!, but make sure they're identified as a taxi or you'll get ripped off on cab fare and tip 'em. They really rely on tourist for income.

The cliff views and narrow mountain paths that were beautiful during the day become frightening at night. And surprising, i can imagine getting lost is not difficult. Parking will be a problem from what i've seen. Just take a cab, but make sure it's clearly marked as a taxi or else you'll get ripped off. Easiest way to assure this, just about any place will call a cab for you and each area has a marked taxi stand. Be sure to tip, they really rely on tourism.
