Avoid Airoport Lineups Bring carry on luggage only. You can get your boarding pass from the ticket agent and bypass the long and slow lineups at baggage check-in.

traffic there is a significant amount of traffic going to the airport in the afternoon. We had a 5:30 flight from SXM to NY. We left Philipsburg at 2:30 and got to the gate at 4:15. We did have to return our rental at Hertz and we flew in business class. It would have taken longer if we were in the main cabin.

La Lacanada for FUN! If you happen to be near Anse Marcel, make reservations to eat at La Lacanada. The place is a very eclectic Italian Trattoria. Food is good, resonably priced, and the place is FUN!
