Getting away from the winter months and travelling into the hotter climates has become a norm. I decided to travel to the island of St.Lucia in the Caribbean. My booking made with a famous luxury chain of hotels there. Convinced that it was confirmed, I was told upon arrival that there was no such booking and their chains were full. The receptionist recommended POINSETTIA APARTMENTS which was not far away. He made a booking for two days until there was a vacancy in their chain. I accepted horrified.
On arrival to the apartments I was greeted with hospitality and escorted to my apartment by whom I later learnt was the owner. Surprised to see the beauty of the exterior premises, which looked more like a mansion with flowered gardens and trees, I hoped that the interior was a match, to my delight it was. The apartments were spotless and tastefully decorated and the view was spectacular, especially from the large terrace area .I felt that I was somewhere lost in nature. After my two day visit and having the best service and help that could be pared with any huge chain, I decided to stay on at Poinsettia Apartments. I had the most enjoyable and relaxing time and spent most of my vacation by the nearby beach, on tours arranged for me and on my return before dusk, by the pool area soaking in the beautiful sunshine.
I could not believe the prices offered for such amazing service. The apartments were fully furnished and had every imaginable amenity you could need. I returned home with money in my pocket and amazing memories of that place. I have told all my work colleagues and friends in Switzerland that if they go to St. Lucia, there is a place there that has a human touch with warm and friendly staff. In a way I was happy that my booking got lost and the reason of a delightful stay was discovered right there at Poinsettia, I would recommend there to everyone! Keep up the good work and thank you.
