Top Local Tips for San Juan

GETTING AROUNG I recommend renting a car to visit other points of interests in Puerto Rico as well as to get around the San Juan areas. It's a cheaper way as well as a more convenient way to get around on the island and driving there is easy as compared to driving in any major US city like NYC.

If you like waves Isla Verde is for you, if not - go the Spent half time on the East side of the island and another half on the West side.

Taking the bus and driving around Puerto Rico We decided to take to bus to Old San Juan for only $.75. It was great going there in the day but if you come back in the evening you'd probably be more comfortable taking a taxi back (it was $22.00 for two people). Actually, it is probably best never to drive around Puerto Rico after dark, just to be on the safe side, unless of course your close to your destination.
