Room, parking, tax and surcharges average out to about $124 a day. Breakfast bar, cable (no HBO though) and a wireless hotspot (about 25 to 35 mps on average) in every room. Also a key locked wall safe in each closet. As a hotel it suffers from the lack of either a dining room or refrigerators in the rooms. The Breakfast Bar is bread (toast), hardboiled eggs, fruit, danish, juices and coffee. Free local newspaper in English and Spanish. As a work location the lack of conference rooms, printers, or copy machines may be a hindrance. However, there is an Internet Cafe by the Walgreens on nearby Ashford Ave. which can (B&W only) print off documents you bring them on your USB stick. The nearby Internet Cafe also has a B&W copier. Figure $4 to print off an email there. I was therefore tempted to buy a small all-in-one printer while at the Holiday Inn Express at the Office Max behind the Plaza of the Americas (about 15 minutes away by car), but didn't. Beyond that, the location is good. A-26 and 1 are only a few blocks away. There are many restaurants nearby and even some local carryout places. Condado Beach is right up the street. The Holiday Inn staff employees are friendly and accomodate reasonable requests. I have stayed in many hotels and this was one of my best experiences and if I was doing it all again, I would come back to the HI Express.
