Bacardi Rum Distillery Take the Bacardi tour, but not with an excursion service. They are very overpriced for something you can do on your own for a fraction of the cost. You can go into Old San Juan and take a self guided tour at your own pace. Follow these instructions and take the tour at your own leisure for about $10 per person (rather than $50). If you can get to the Ferry in Old San Juan, you are halfway there. Taxi's can be inexpensive, but we took the public bus for $.75 per person, a 10 minute ride from our hotel in Condado and the bus station is across the street from the ferry. Take the Ferry toward the Bacardi Rum Distillery. The ferry leaves at the hour or half hour. Pay $2 per person one-way. When exiting the Cataño Pier, make a right to a parking lot in which you take a public car and pay the driver $3.00 per person one-way. Reverse the transportation instructions towards Old San Juan. The actual tour itself is FREE!!! and includes two drink tickets, so why pay $50 again??

Taxis are not cheap here! I really don't have a tip, just a warning that taxis here are not super cheap. Try to share w/ other people at your hotel. You cannot get around Puerto Rico w/o some kind of vehicle. It might be better to just rent a car for your entire stay. Then get out and explore!!!!!!
