Top Local Tips for Rio Grande

Explore and Save Walk down the beach or just get a cab to a resturant. Food will probably be better and half the price of the resort.

Don't miss it El Yunque is a Natural Rain Forest which most of us in North America will not have an opportunity to experience. You can take a ride up there or take a trip from your hotel and see the views and the foliage which is amazing..

Cheaper to Rent a Car In my opinion, you are better off renting a car if you stay here. The shuttle to the Westin is $30 pp each way. The rental car was $80 for four days. We were able to drive to El Yunque, Fajardo, and San Juan ourselves, which saved money and more importantly prevented time restraints. Many of the excursions offered by the hotel were subject to the number of people who signed up and only left early in the mornign.
