Route taxis If we had been in Ocho Rios we would probably never have found out about these. they are white with "Route taxi" and the two places they run between on the door. You stand by the road and wait for a few minutes max. If the taxi has room, he hoots, you wave and he stops. Simple. It cost us Jamaican$120 (about £1) for both of us to get into Ocho Rios, about 8km or to Oracabessa which is a bit further. Mini-buses are even cheaper but terrifying. Go there yourself! Its alot cheaper to hire a taxi and go to the attractions yourself, than booking through other people and you can go around at your own pace whatever time you please.
