Most Amazing Place in Jamaica- NEGRIL stay any where in the Negril area!..The 7 mile beach is pure "white" sand and amazing!...life almost comes to a stop here....meaning: VERY RELAXING.....if you want to buy those souviners..go across the street from Point Village,to the left and down the street few 100 feet....go see "Charlie"...Flona...Horace..tell them i sent you...they will treat you EEERIE!..also...about a 10 minute walk from the Point Village is a very "cool" waterpark!!!! called...Cool Runnings...we spent the whole day there and had an Amazing time....well worht the $28 US to get in. another god place to shop is right in Negril..take a cab...we had a guy named Keith take us...$30 return...to the Sunshine Villas shoopin area...awsome stuff to buy..if you like walking sticks and any ironwood plaques there is on guy in particular,his name escapes me,, he is just below the "steps"...
Be wise when traveling by taxi cab, haggle, haggle and haggle Make use of the shuttle service to Times Square mall, it is a little long time wise, but much cheaper than their taxi's. If you do use a taxi, settle on the complete price (there and back) BEFORE you even get into the car. Remember that the price quoted is often per person and can be extremly expensive!!! Most destinations worth traveling to are no more than a fifteen minute drive one way, so don't agree to spend upwards of $20/$25 per person for these trips!!!! Also remember that most of the taxi drivers sit around ALL day waiting for travelers to take, so they may be willing to accept much less of a cab fare then they originally quote (less $$$ is better than NO $$$ to them--so HAGGLE ALL YOU CAN and if that doesn't work move on to the next Taxi driver. Also do NOT travel anywhere with illegal drugs on your person, it is NOT worth getting busted at the many road checkpoints where policemen will often search all your belongings.
Found out how long of a wait. If longer than 30 minutes to departure, take a cab. Also take your towels and insulated mugs.

We found the rooms to be clean & spacious, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food good although the variety was not huge.
The resort could use some painting and sprucing up, however we felt that we got good value for our money.
In addition to the main dining room (buffet), two restaurants opened at night (Jamaican restaurant which was the beach bar/snack area during the day and Paradise Garden CAfe served pasta. We ate great jerk chicken and pork at the Jamaican restaurant, but did not try the other restaurant.
The resort is at the beginning of the seven mile beach, so you can walk for miles.
