Don't spend all of your time at an all-inclusive! Although it might be tempting to go to an all-inclusive, Sosua is a small town, easy to get around, and with a fair number of excellent restaurants. Why get stuck having to eat at the same places all week? Also, we were able to rent a lovely 3 bedroom condo that was a few steps from the beach for a much lower price than an all inclusive. The first days roaming town were a bit nerve racking with the ever present vendors, but we quickly learned to say a quick "no thanks" or "maybe later". We also got breakfast items and some lunch items at the grocery store, which was a fantastic and educational trip.
