I stayed here in 2008 and was very disapointed in the service and thye hotel as a whole. I have traveled many times to the Dominican and can tell you it is not worth the money. I have read that the hotel is still in need of plumbing! We had no water for 2 days and cold water showers. I ventured into the "Disco" and it smelt really Bad! (you do get used to it though). Food was average with small variety at the buffet. The beach is very nice but the swimming area is very small and they do not like you swimming outside the swimming area. (many tides that not strong swimmers will have problems with). Yes it is fairly close to Santo Domingo which is nice. Personaly I would spend $200 more and get a better hotel. I would never go back again and saw a "honeymooner" in tears at the fron desk. This may be good for the spring breakers that get to drunk to care but certianly not a family Hotel. Good luck if you do go!

This resort was better than I expected in every way. The service and hospitality was amazing, not to mention the entertainment and social events. Beach, bars, pools, rooms and food all excellent. I will absolutely stay at the Costa Caribe Santo Domingo again!

Where do I begin? The staff was rude and checking in took hours and in the end we got a less than adequate room (toilet was broken and the bathtub faucet came out of the wall). The horror was when there was no water for two days. YES NO WATER to wash with or to flush with. There were no clean linens and God knows if the dining ware was sanitary....I think not because my family and everyone that I spoke to got sick. My little boy ended up with a very high fever. If you are looking for paradise, look elsewhere. This place is the pits!

This place is not too exciting. Our room was "tired" and hot water was cold or tepid most of the time. Staff were pleasant, except for some front desk personnel. The internet services were pathetic - mostly only one terminal would connect (don't waste your time or money trying). Overall the food was good with plenty selections in the buffet and reasonable choices. Service in the Italian and Mexican restaurants was very slow. The grounds were very well maintained and when the recently planted coconut trees along the beach front become established - they will improve the shaded areas significantly. This hotel badly needs to upgrade the plumbing (leaky, corroded taps) and spruce-up the furnishings and bedding in some of their the rooms. The location is great - about 30 minutes from Santo-Domingo airport and lovely beaches-we walked about one mile in both directions. Juan Dolio area felt safe and locals seemed to respect tourists. The weather was wonderful - comfortable, warm and breezy. The nights were cooler and good for sleeping. Warm enough to swim in the ocean, sunbath and enjoy the warmth and sunshine. Overall we both agreed that we would return to this hotel.

The hotel is a dump, dated is giving it a compliment. If you’re lucky, you'll have hot water. Food sucks, I lived on rice and beans for the five days I was there. If I were rating the hotel on an American standard it would be a 1, good luck if you go there.

Only the food was "good" not great but good. Had to beg and bribe maid just for clean towels...fresh sheets were OUT OF THE QUESTION!!! Front desk slow and rude. Been there twice before and loved it....so sorry to see how pitiful it is now....gym a moldy outdated mess, shows sad, casino pathetic I could go on but why bother?

I have to say this is THE BEST ALL INCLUSIVE RESORT. I loved it you will be relaxed here with so much to do. I was not bored at all. The kids will love it so will the adults, I'm only 16 but I went with my family. Great time. GO YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!! The people were great, and very kind.

This is one of best Hilton resorts that I have been to. The food was great. They had American and Dominican food. The rooms were always cleaned on time and were comfortable. The entertainment was great they have put on amazing plays ...you will understand them better if you are Spanish and night shows. They have a night club, and a Casino for the night life people. They had American channels...I loved this because I didn’t want to miss my shows, As well as Movies in English and Spanish. For the people who cant get away from their computers like me! There is internet. They also have amazing bars try the piña colada!. Over all the service was great the experience was great and the people were very kind. I have nothing bad to say.

I'm a 25 year old single man from VT and this is the first time I have ever been out of the country. The hotel was great, food was awsome and there were more gay men than I knew what to do with.....would definetely go back in heart beat. Yip yip whoooop!
