It's no wonder Hilton doesn't want anything to do with this place anymore. The first thing you'll notice is that the word Hilton has been scratched out on everything with a black marker (except your shower curtain on which they used paint). The place is a dump compared to other hotels in the DR. The bathrooms are unsanitary and not cleaned properly. The mould growing on the walls and floor would be the first sign. The food is mediocre at best. The buffet is often only luke-warm and variety cannot be found. Their 24 hour restaurant only carries hotdogs, fries and dried burgers. You'll often see the same food from 12 hours prior. For breakfast you can find last night's chicken now fried up for your enjoyment... On the weekend the resort changes and you become a 3rd class citizen. The resort is overrun with Dominicanos and there will be no peace till they leave. Drunken screaming in the halls at all hours. I even witnessed a fight by the pool which needed the police to come and take the man away. Avoid this place like the plague. Spend your money at another resort. The DR is a beautiful island. Just go elsewhere on it.
