Really an Amazing Tropical Hotel
It is not a usual hotel, it’s something different: the rooms are into small multi-colored villas, with a typical Dominican roof: our one was pink and turquoise, the room was turquoise too and even the bathroom had the same colors! It had a balcony over the garden and the view was until the see: I can imagine when the whales are in this sea which amazing spectacle you can see from here. From the pool there is an incredible view and you can take cocktails standing into the water. All around there are wonderful beaches where stay alone all the day along. Sure is a perfect place for relaxing. I’m trying to come back in January for the whale watching.

Amazing tropical hotel, hidden in a corner of paradise
The Hotel Ballenas Escondidas (Hidden Whales) is in the south of the uncontaminated Peninsula of Samaná, in front of the homonym bay, where the famous Jorobadas whales arrive from the Arctic regions. Furnished with taste and all different among them, some divided in two floors and completely hidden into a wonderful tropical garden, the unusual rooms are all in a hillside that shows directly to the sea in a great and wonderful terrace. Every year from January until March the whales reproduce themselves into the waters of that zone, offering a charming spectacle from the balcony of the same rooms… truly the whales are not hidden at all!! The resort has private beach, swimming pool, jacuzzi, security, breakfast included, restaurant with French and Creole kitchen, Internet coffee and medical aid.
