Weather very hot.... If you plan on going to Punta Cana. DOminican Republic ..bring plenty of sun screen. You go through it fast and it is very expensive down there. The weather is very, very hot......

Don't drink the water, or brush teeth with it !! The first few days there we were worried about the water BIG TIME !! We found out it's totally safe to bathe/ shower in. PHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is a high chlorine content, and the mineral content is out of whack. The NICE resorts use filtered water for ice, food prepartion, ETC !! We had NO illnesses while there for 10 days. You should bring some OFF mosquito repellant with you ! The mosquitos were non existant our first few dsys, Then BAM..........Everywhere !! Just be cautious, you don't want Dengue Fever !!! We were off our Resort 2 various times, I had my big wedding ring & diamond earrings & a great gold watch...........NEVER felt threatened..........At ALL !! Just be aware of your surroundings at all times and you should be fine. Medicines, SunTan lotion, food (snacks) are VERY EXPENSIVE down in Punta Cana ~ So go OVERLY prepared ( smiles!!)
