I have just got back from the Dominican Republic with my sister and I loved it.I'm already looking to book it for next year! The hotel was out of this world and so were the staff that worked there. The staff were so friendly and very helpful. The room was cleaned and the mini bar re-stocked. Every day the cleaner sprinkled flowers in the bathroom and arranged the sheets on the bed into different shapes she also folded all my clothes neatly everyday...it was like being back at home! The entertainment team were brilliant and made my holiday 1 to remember. The nightly shows were mind blowing. Every one got involved and alot of thought and hard work went into them. The entertainment team worked from 8am till 12.30+ everyday and they never seemed to get tired or aggravated. They just got on and entertained us. I made so many friends in this hotel that I really didn't want to leave. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice, relaxing, friendly holiday with good entertainment!

The weather was great, beaches perfect, food was ok. Some staff were ok . If you have a problem, you will have one for the duration of your stay. Take plenty of tip money, get second class service if you don't tip regularly. The one good point of the holiday was leaving!

I went with a friend for her birthday & had a blast! Being all inclusive including alcohol was a great feature. The room was spacious, nice and quite. The flower petals around the sink put a smile on my face. They provide you will bottled soda & water on a daily basis in your room. It was very easy to book a reservation nightly for the various restaurants on the compound. I do wish they had wash cloths, an iron & a better souvenir shop. The ladies that work in the souvenir shop did act a bit rude (I guess I would too if I was stuck in a shop all day & didn’t speak the language of the customers). The food was much better than I expected and always available in a fresh manner. The nightly shows blew me away, but I don't think I would want my child to see them (if I had any kids). I would suggest having a few more people at the resort being better trained on English. However, everyone was beyond nice (outside of the souvenir shop employees) and would ask their English speaking peers to help us when they could not. Overall, I would definitely return no questions asked.

All in all, Me and my fiancé had a great time in the Dominican. The people are nice, the beaches are beautiful, and there are many beautiful places and hotels in the Dominican Except for this hotel. The Grand Paradise Bavaro is run by very rude and untrained locals that just cant run a hotel. The hotel has many amenities listed but all of them were difficult to obtain and very disappointing. Everything you do in this place is difficult from, broken key cards, no TV, Tub doesn’t work, Leaks in ceiling, No pool towels, Hot tub never on but when it is its never hot, (LOL) and im sure theres more I cant remember right now. Not to mention the horrible untrained staff that are just RUDE and Careless about Everything. My fiancé got hit on 3 times by the staff. These people are out of control and do not deserve any more customers in this hotel. My advise to people searching for hotels in the Dominican is to stay away from this hotel and all the other ones that are affiliated with it (I think there are 6 or 7 all owned by the same company) Try the Hotel Majestic (next door from Grand Paradise) that place is nice, We purchased day passes there and spent a lot of time in that hotel. Very nice place! I hope I helped.
