This is the best hotel we have stayed in,in the seven years we have been to the Dom Rep. The rooms are great,the food is exelent and plenty of it.Raul the bartender is great, as are all the staff. The garden/pond/and wild birds are very lovely.If you get up early you can watch the humming birds drinking nectar from the flowers. I managed to get a late booking at the very last minute for 3 weeks time and I'm over the moon. Can't wait to get there.

The hotel was lovely and the people were very friendly especially Lenny. Unfortunately that is about as good as it gets. If you want to lose weight then I recommend that you visit this hotel. The food was not of a 5 star standard, the bread and cereal were stale, the eggs were practically raw and you could not have cold milk with your cereal in the morning as it was left out in a jug. The evening meals were good if you like fish. We did not and therefore had to eat the same meal over and over again, mainly salad, cold spaghetti, uncooked rice and beef stew or whatever name they changed it to daily. Although tipping is not required, if you do not tip your room will be left till last to be cleaned, I am talking aroung 5pm when you want to chill in your room and have a shower. There is not much to do at night if you do not want to watch the entertainment (DANCING DANCING DANCING)you get a little tired of this and then to add insult to injury you are asked to raise your glasses and applaud all of the managers who work at the hotel. We were definately disappointed with our stay and will not be going back because the food really lets the place down.

I went to Iberostar,Dominican and it was the greatest place ever. The entertainment team are the best people.It is worth every penny and if you do go look out for spiderman,superman,casandra etc they are incredible people BOOK UP NOW I know I am

When we first arrived we were met by the most polite and friendliest staff I have ever met. The best were Malfredo, Hose and Raul from the pool bar as soon as I walked down they had a drink ready for me. Marcelo (chicken legs) was also very friendly and kind we got on well together. I will be returning to the ihd in September next year I hop its still the same then.

My stay at this 5* hotel was fantasic im very fussy and can pick faults easily but to my wifes amazement i didnt have one at all. The entertainment was like going to see a west end show in london and the buffet was 10 out of 10 so you can imagine what the speciality restaurants were like. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much for them. I would reccommend the queen for this hotel. We loved it that much that we are taking family and friends with us next year.

We stayed in the late part of February and there wasn't a complaint from a group of 11. The staff, meals, activities, shows were fantastic! We couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Make sure you visit the pool bar and say Hi to Raul....the best bartender ever:)
