Top Local Tips for Little Cayman

If you don't dive or fish; go elsewhere only 100 people live in Little Cayman. There is no town or center; terrain is flat an marshy, although good for bike riding. Most beaches are rocky or grassy. Scuba diving and fishing were spectacular. Saw big baracuda and eagle rays. If you want buzz,beach (swimming), landscape, culture or history; this island is the wrong choice.

Who should come and who should not Because of the "middle-of-nowhere-ness" of the island, we would not recommend traveling alone. Come with a significant other. Also, because there is not much more than fishing and diving to do, young children probably would not be a good idea. We left ours at home, and were glad we did. There just isn't enough to keep young ones entertained. Also, if you are traveling with a diver, consider getting certified yourself. You will enjoy it much more.

Snorkeling There are a few dive sites where a snorkeler will see the exact same thing as the diver. Ask your divemaster if he wouldn't mind going to those type of snorkel-friendly sites.
