Top Local Tips for Grand Cayman
Go to Calypso Grill and stay away from The Wharf We had dinner at The Wharf, the best thing about it was the kids got to feed the big fish. The food was marginal and the service was horrible! Go to Calypso Grill, the server was delightful and the meals were delightful!
Not a huge amount of nightlife on Grand Cayman Grand Cayman is pretty quiet at night. There are some decent restaurants, but no shopping and no "strip" to walk around in the evening. You pretty much have to decide which restaurant you are going to eat at, and then make you way there. Most restaurants are located in or near the seven-mile beach resort area, but the road is fairly busy with dodgy sidewalks in spots. Not the most pleasant of evening strolls.
Easter is a problem for food shopping We arrived on Good Friday (all stores closed, but restaurants open). Stores opened on Saturday (MAD rush), and were closed again for Easter Sunday AND Easter Monday...
