Top Local Tips for Paget
The Food is delicious, but EXPENSIVE The food in Bermuda, specifically in Hamilton is very delicious. However is is very expensive, so bring a lot of money or bok at an all inclusive. If you go into Hamilton, go to Cafe Cairo or Rosa's Cantina...the food is amazing!
transportation Paget is a very nice residental area with nice homes. It is close to nice beaches like Horseshoe bay beach which was rated the #1 beach. It is very close to Hamilton (10 mins) on bus. We felt very safe and relaxed at our stay there walking to the bus stops. Also there is the old railway trail which you can walk or ride bikes on
Get the pass Go to the bus terminal in central hamilton and buy a bus pass for as many days as you're going to be in town. The bus runs frequently and efficiently all over the island!

The free breakfast was adequate for us. We get up early, so we usually had a choice of pastries, bagels, fruit, cereals, juices, coffee and bottled water. If you sleep in, the breakfast selection would be limited.
The long beach was always not crowded and very pretty.
The restaurant was good but expensive and crowded most of the time.
If you have a car, you will have trouble finding a parking place and getting it in and out. If you want to catch the bus, you will have to walk 1/4 to 1/2 mile over a hill to get to the main road where the bus stop is located. We didn't mind walking because the temperature was nice. In the summertime, it would be less enjoyable.
*Note: They had a "beauty/modeling contest" one night which made it very noisy and crowded. Also, some of the clothes the girls were wearing were extremely revealing and I noticed that 95% of the crowd were men. I'm not sure what kind of "show" it was but it would not have been a good time for children to be in the lobby area. I'm not sure how often that type of thing happens at Grape Bay. Hopefully, it was a one time thing.
