Renting A Car For Exploring I highly recommend renting a car in Barbados. They drive on the opposite side of the road than in the States and the drivers seat is where the passenger seat normally is, but it's easy to get the hang of it. The nice thing about renting a car is that you can go wherever you want whenever you want. Our breakfast server at our hotel gave us a GREAT tip on the beach at Bottom Bay... it has to honestly be the most incredible, if not the best beach in the world. It's small, secluded and surrounded by huge cliffs. Each time we were there, we were two of maybe 6 people total on the beach, excluding the locals selling their jewelry and carvings as well as ice cold bottled water and other drinks. Be careful if you're in the middle of nowhere at night though.. it can be very easy to get lost! But it's all part of the adventure.

The lobster shack treat yourself to a spiney Lobster at the shack, in the south of the Island just outside Bridgetown on the road to Christchurch, its on the beach and the lobsters are the freshest you can buy, in fact they are swimming around until you choose one, My wife felt a bit sqimish, but the meal soon made up for it. also try the Currie house (Trinidadian) about 500 yds towards Bridgetown from South beach resort Hotel, cheap and very tasty!! 11 of us had lunch there, with beers , and it cost less than $200 barbadian, about £45 uk
