Top Local Tips for Bridgetown

Long lines departing. We took a shuttle bus to the airport with about 40 other people. If we had taken a taxi we could have arrived earlier and missed the long lines to check our luggage. We waited in line about 1.5 hours in hot and humid conditions. The taxi would have gotten us there sooner, with no stops at other hotels along the way.

#11 Bus Be prepared - you will be packed in like sardines. But for .75c you can go to St. Lawrence Gap, Bridgetown, or anywhere else. Taxi's are expensive and driving is out of the question for me.

Go to Champers! No joke, Champers is expensive-- probably more than most restaurants in New York. But the food was absolutely delicious, and the setting is breath-taking-- you sit on a patio overlooking Accra beach, with the surf crashing beneath you. We went at night and the lights on the bay were magical. Also, I have not had such delicious food in a long time. If you want to splurge, take a night for Champers.
