I stayed at Sandyport beach Resort for one week in May of this year and it was excellent. The staff was friendly and responsive. The beach was wonderful, the grounds were very nice, the pool was terrific, and the restaurant was real good but prices were a little high. The staff was very helpful when I needed information about transportation into downtown Nassau, but take the bus. The cost is $1.25 one-way the problem here is bus services stop at 6pm. The best way to travel in Nassau is rent a car for $250 a week. Also if you need more room rent a one bedroom not a studio that’s for cheap people. Have a good time; I plan to be back in May 2010.

We stayed in a TINY room, where you could hear your neighbours breathing. It had NO view, NO chairs, remote control, cups, coffeemaker, alarm clock, ironing board, etc. FAR from everything, no amenities at all. Compared to the average hotel in Nassau, it was quite expensive, and we got horrible, horrible service. It took 4 hours and 5 phone calls to get some hangers for the room. We didn't get any maid service the first day. They didn't do the wake-up call, despite not having an alarm clock. They were "friendly" at the front desk, but utterly useless. The surroundings were definitely quiet (ie. TOTALLY DEAD). The whole place seems to be a mistake in location, and a miserable failure. Might be OK if you have a boat and live there half the year.

We visited Sandyport Resort for one week in late August. The staff was friendly and responsive.
The beach was wonderful, the grounds were very nice, the pool was terrific, and the restaurant was pretty good. The staff was very helpful when we needed information about transportation, places to go, etc. Stay away from the game room - it smells and is not very nice.
We will definitely return to Sandyport. It is a very nice, quiet, family type place. If you want 5 star vacation places, pay the money and go somewhere else. If you want a beautiful, clean, friendly resort - visit Sandyport

While I was on vacation on the Island. I ran into a lady telling us about sandyport. How nice it is for time share. So we sing up to take a tour. When we got there the people treated us like shit. The prices they told us about the time shares was crazy. After we told them we was interested in it the kick us out. They told us a taxi would come for us. We sat there for one hour & a half. No taxi never came. We had to pay 32 dollars to get back to our resort.
