Know the taxi rates! Know the rates that the road safety department puts in place for taxi cabs. No meters any more, it's zone by zone, number of people and number of bags. For example, the Airport to anywhere on Paradise Island for 1 person with up to 2 pieces of baggage is $27 and no more unless you want to tip. Drivers WILL try to fleece you if given half a chance so be knowledgable. Better yet, avoid Nassau all together.
